Icons are not consecrated
This icon is created using a specialized mounting technique, where a high-quality iconographic print is applied to a wooden MDF board under high pressure. This process ensures the icon remains stable, protected from warping, and faithfully conveys every detail of the Byzantine style, providing durability and a solid feel.
SAINT ALEXANDER NEVSKY
Saint Alexander Nevsky was a Grand Prince of Russia and one of the greatest defenders of Orthodoxy. He is remembered for his military glory, but above all for his deep piety. It is believed that before battles, he always entered the temple to pray, seeking God's help with the words: "God is not in power, but in justice." Towards the end of his life, he became a monk, taking the name Alexis.
The feast day of Saint Alexander Nevsky is celebrated on September 12th (translation of relics) and December 6th (the day of his repose). His image on the icon symbolizes the invincibility of faith and the power of righteousness, providing comfort and protection to the faithful.
The icon of Saint Alexander Nevsky should be placed on the eastern wall of your home to beautify your space and add solemnity to your celebrations. It is a distinguished gift—a sign of spiritual protection and blessing for loved ones.
