Ramonda Nathalie (lat. Ramonda nathaliae) is a flower discovered in 1884 near Niš by Dr. Sava Petrović, the court physician to King Milan Obrenović, and was named after Queen Natalija. In biology, it is known as a "Phoenix plant" because it can resurrect even after being completely dried out if watered. Because of this trait, it became the symbol of the resurrection of the Serbian state and army which, after the Albanian Golgotha in WWI, triumphantly returned to liberate the homeland. This badge continues that tradition of endurance, allowing you to wear a reminder of the strength that overcomes even death on your lapel.
