The Mounting Process (Kaširanje): This icon is created using a specialized mounting technique, where a high-quality iconographic print is applied to a wooden MDF board under high pressure. This process ensures the icon remains stable, protected from warping, and faithfully conveys every detail of the Byzantine style, providing durability and a solid feel.
SAINT EUSTACE (PLACIDAS)
Saint Eustace, known as Placidas before his baptism, was a Roman general during the reign of Emperor Trajan. His life records a miraculous event: while hunting, he saw a stag with a radiant cross between its antlers, and the voice of the Lord called him to the faith. After being baptized, Eustace faced severe trials—losing his wealth, property, and family—but he endured everything with humility. Eventually, he was reunited with his family, but they ultimately suffered martyrdom together for Christ.
The feast day of Saint Eustace is celebrated on October 3rd. He is considered the patron saint of hunters and a symbol of Christian perseverance through suffering. His image on the icon carries a message of hope, reminding us that salvation follows every trial with God's help.
The icon of Saint Eustace should be placed on the eastern wall of your home to beautify your space and add solemnity to your celebrations. It is a distinguished gift—a sign of spiritual protection and blessing for loved ones.
