The Three Hierarchs:
The most important thing about the feast of the Three Hierarchs is its role as a symbol of absolute spiritual reconciliation and brotherly unity. In the 11th century, the faithful were divided into supporters of one of these three saints, claiming one was greater than the other. Then, all three appeared together to Bishop John and said: "We are one in God; there is nothing contradictory among us, nor is there a first or a second."
