TREE OF LIFE

In Slavic mythology, as well as in the mythologies of all ancient civilizations, the world is depicted as a sacred tree, or the TREE OF LIFE (in our country, usually an oak), which, with its eternal or renewing greenery, represents life itself as the axis of the world. Its top represents the space of the sky, and the root of the tree - the underworld.

In the crown of the tree dwell the gods headed by Perun, the ruler of men and lord of the sky, and in the root of the tree is Veles, who in his second form (snake or dragon) rules the underworld, that is, the world where the spirits of ancestors live.

THE FLOWER OF LIFE

  • A geometric symbol representing perfect symmetry.
  • It is extremely popular in both art, architecture, mathematics, and philosophy.
  • Present in all religions and mythologies, the oldest representations are believed to be on the pillars of the Osireion complex in Abydos, Egypt, and to be around 5000 years old.
  • Pagans believe that it is a form of sacred geometry and that it shows the very cycle of creation and the basic forms of time and space, and they call it the "seed of life".
  • Sacred geometry refers to the geometric patterns and laws that create everything in the universe. They believe that the Flower of Life symbol is a visual representation of the interconnectedness of life and all beings and a symbol of infinity and the flow of energy.
  • It is credited with a strong healing and harmonizing effect.

STAR LADA (Ladina zvezda)

  • A symbol that unites the forces of nature and the divine power of Goddess Lada, protector of love, harmony and harmony in the family. It carries within itself the wisdom passed on to us by our ancestors, protects our home and gives confidence and courage.
  • This is primarily a female talisman because it represents Love in the first place, i.e. Mother - Mother Lada who gave life to the Slavic gods, then Mother Earth and Heavenly Mother (Mater Sva).
  • The symbol protects against negative energy, gives calmness, thoughtfulness and wisdom, but it is widely distributed as an ornament throughout the Slavic world, it is considered universal protection from dark forces, while the wreath in which it is located represents the Sun.
