1. How did today's Partizan originate?

Did you know that the original title of Partizan was the Association of the Central House of the Yugoslav Army Partizan? Five years after it was founded in 1950, Partizan reorganized and became a sports club, and at the same time clubs were formed, which, in addition to members of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), gathered other citizens of all ages. Many youth, and in some sports and women's clubs, have been established. At the annual assembly in 1960, the sports club Partizan was given a title that is still officially today.

 

 

2. What exactly is the "Steam roller"?

Partizan's nickname, Steam roller, though probably associates with music, has nothing to do with the Zagreb band of the same name. Moreover, black and white received this nickname back in the 1960s, when the football club "gazio" all before itself, both in the domestic championship and in the European competitions. The famous generation from 1966 played the Final of the Champions Cup against Real Madrid. Despite the defeat, that period, he remained remembered and today as one of the best in the history of this club.



3. What does the Yugoslav sports club Partizan do all about?

Within the sports club Partizan there are currently 28 active clubs in 25 sports. Sports, which, in addition to men, have a separate and women's club are basketball, water polo and volleyball. Other clubs are: football, athletics, cycling, tennis, boxing, bowling, chess, swimming, wrestling, handball, hockey, weightlifting, table tennis, rowing, rugby, judo, shooting, karate, gymnastics, tekvondo, florbol and auto club . The first clubs (then the sections) that were founded were football, athletic, basketball, bicycle and tennis, and among the latter are Tekvondo (1996), Florbol (2007) and Women's Water Polo Club (2009). Partisan clubs shut down are a ski and baseball club.

Football as a sport is, of course, number one in our country, and the football club Partizan certainly belongs among the most successful within this sports club. However, the most challenging club is the water polo club Partizan. It was founded a year after the football, and by now it was 29 times the national champion, while the national cup champion was 26 times. On the European court, water polo players of Partizan were even seven times, along with two times champions of the Super Cup of Europe, Len Cup, Cup Winners Cup, Mediterranean Cup and twice Eurointelligence League. Waterpolo Club Partizan has made some of the world's best water polo players, among them Alexander Sostar, Igor Milanovic, Vladimir Vujasinovic, Danilo Ikodinovic, Zivkv Gocic, Vanja Udovicic, Filip Filipovic ...

 

 

5. Interesting records FK Partizan

You must know that the recorder is the number of games played for Partizan, Sasa Ilić (835). He scored the highest goals in the league (126), while the record for the number of hits in all competitions is held by Stjepan Bobek (425). But do you know that the first goal in the history of Partizan was scored by Florian Matekalo on October 6, 1945, in a game against Zemun. The fastest goal for Partizan was scored by Uros Djurdjevic on December 11, 2016. It took him only 10 seconds from the referee to shake the net of the goalkeeper Donji Srem. The youngest goalkeeper in the history of the club is Dusan Vlahovic, who entered the list of shooters from only 16 years, two months and five days, while the oldest Sasa Ilic, who was 39 when he scored, 10 months and six days.



6. Partizan players are the only one from Serbia against NBA teams

Basketball club Partizan achieved the biggest success in the history of club basketball in our country, when in 1992 he won the European Champions Cup. In addition, Partizan is also the most refined basketball club from Serbia, and in addition to the success in the national championship, the successes in Euroleague have also been settled. Thanks to that, in 2009, Partizan was awarded the invitation of Euroleague to represent European basketball in America. Partizan played historic matches with NBA teams Denver and Finiks, which no other club from this area had a chance.



7. About fans

The official name of Partizan fans is Grobari. They were organized in 1970, and they received nicknames mainly due to black club colors, which are similar to the burial uniforms. Navy sweatshirts and other black and white requisites have always been a symbol of this club, whose fans are happy to stand out, both in stands and on the street. When it comes to jerseys and racing shirts, sales are always at an enviable level thanks to the large number of supporters of this club who even compete with each other. Through history, Grobari often shared each other and entered into conflicts. There are currently three faction fans: Partizanovci (Eastern tribune), Partizan fans (Eastern and Western tribune), Grobari Jug (southern tribune). There are still some big groups of fans of Partizan, such as Forbidden and Alkatraz, but also dozens of smaller fan groups.

Grobari are the second largest number of fans in Serbia, and among the fans of Partizan there are a large number of distinguished personalities of our country. The likes of the black and white club were never covered by writers Duško Radović, Dobrica Erić, Dušan Kovačević, actors Dragan Bjelogrlić, Katarina Radivojević, Zoran Cvijanović, Lazar Ristovski, Sergej Trifunović, Nikola Kojo, Nenad Jezdić, Branislav Lečić, Srđan Todorović. and numerous directors (Emir Kusturica, Srdjan Dragovic ...), politicians (Boris Tadic, Tomislav Nikolic ...), journalists, but also musicians (Goran Bregovic, Zeljko Joksimovic, Sasa Kovacevic ...) and many others. 9. About the football temple

Partizan fan club football fans are also referred to as Football Food. However, the official name of the stadium in Humska is Partizan Stadium. This building has long been called the JNA Stadium, from 1951 to 1989, while it was owned by the then Yugoslav People's Army. It was built from 1948 to 1951, and the first match at this stadium was played on October 9, 1949, by the national team of Yugoslavia and France. The current capacity of the stadium is 32,710 places.
